Starting Out as an Electrical Contractor
Imad Boussi began his journey in the electrical field in 1997, starting out as an electrical contractor and building his reputation from the ground up. In the early years, he worked jobs entirely on his own, operating out of his own van and personally handling each project with precision, professionalism, and strong attention to detail.
A Foundation Built on Knowledge
With a bachelor's degree, a business degree, electrical engineering apprenticeship experience, and Master Electrician credentials, Imad built his career on both technical expertise and real-world experience. His commitment to quality workmanship, fair pricing, and dependable service quickly set him apart in the industry.

As word of mouth spread, more and more customers began calling for service because of his professionalism, the high standard of his work, and the value he delivered. What started as side work gradually grew into something much bigger.
From Side Hustle to Leading Company
Over the years, Imad Boussi transformed IB Electric from a side hustle into one of the largest lighting and electrical service companies in the Metro Detroit area. Today, the company's work extends across major locations throughout Michigan and is involved in large-scale electrical infrastructure projects, including work connected to major utility providers such as DTE Energy and Consumers Energy.
